England

We left Auckland at 9am Tuesday morning. When we landed in Hong Kong it was 1am the next day NZ time and surprisingly no one fell asleep in the airport, but when we got on the next plane we all fell asleep as soon as we sat down. When it was time for food only Mum and Declan enjoyed what we were served, Ivan and I thought it was discusting. But the drinks were ok. WE touched down in England early and got to my grandparents house at 8:15am. We had told my gradparents we would arrive at 10:00am so we surprised them and they were still in there P.J's. We unpacked the car and had some breakfast then we went for a walk to the park with my grandad. By 4.30 that afternoon we were all struggling to stay awake. We were all asleep by 6 O'clock and I didn't wake up again until 7a.m the next morning. Thursday we to Felixstowe for the afternoon. It is lovely and warm here so we took our togs and went for a swim in the sea. Then we went to a play area and went on the Zorb, cars and trampoline. Then we had fish and chips for dinner it was lots of fun! That night we managed to stay up until 8:30p.m so we seem to have adjusted to the time change really well. p.s I have photos to send but can't work out how to attach them. hopefully we will work it out soon.

  1. Great to hear of your travels Finn. I remember those times of feeling really tired at the wrong time of day! It is so hard to think of you swimming when it is so cold and wet here. We postponed the ski trip again because of terrible weather. Looking forward to any photos you manage to put up. By the way can you go to our class blog and fill in the Health and Physical activity survey - there is a submit button at the bottom of it when you have finished filling it in. You could get real clever and take a video of where you are and post it too. Also, I'd love to hear what words the people say there that we don't say here and what they mean.
